Real money matches can be played for between 20 euro cents and 1 Euro. Every match has at least two players and your score is matched against the previous or next available opponents. You can also play for real on our tournaments.

    • 19. What is a "Matchplay" game?

Matchplay games are a single game played against one or more opponents. The player with the highest scores wins the prize/s. Scores are matched against the next or previous player's scores. For more details see Matchplay rules

    • 20. What is a "Tournament"?

Tournaments consist of a number of games played over two stages. The first stage is qualification, you can enter as many times as you like to try and qualify. Once qualified, you will play a series of games in a typical knockout structure with the winner/s paid out according to an agreed payout structure. Tournaments generally payout to a number of players with prizes increasing with the maximum paid to the overall tournament winner. For more details see Tournament rules

    • 21. What is a "Free tournament"?

    • 27. How can I spend my Tournament Tokens?

Tournament Tokens (TT) can be used to buy in for REAL CASH Tournaments, and the system automatically takes from this balance before your real money balance in order to provide you with better value.

TT is basically a second balance on your account, which gives you chances to buy into some of our bigger buy-in tournaments without cost to you.

When a customer enters a real cash buy-in tournament the system will take money from their TT account before it takes from their Real Cash (RC) account. If a customer has a TT balance, but not enough to pay the buy-in for a tournament, then the system can use the remainder of the TT balance, and any extra from the RC account.
      E.g. TT account = 2EUR
      RC account = 5EUR
      Tournament entry = 5EUR
System takes 2EUR from TT and 3EUR from RC
Customer is left with 0TT + 2EUR RC

For every customer who registers for a real cash Tournament using Tournament Tokens, Butlins Skills will add one extra buy-in to the prizepool, meaning more REAL CASH on offer for our customers!!!

You can try to qualify as many times as you like for a single Tournament using your credits.

    • Improving your gaming experience

Playing games for long periods can put a strain on your body. Below are some guidelines to consider when playing games for long periods. Butlins Skills and its associated partners are not responsible for any personal injuries or repetitive strain injury caused by playing their games.

Sit in a comfortable chair. Sitting for long hours on an uncomfortable chair can damage muscles and joints. A comfortable chair can help avoid this.
Do not sit in a directly upright position of 90 degrees. The angle of your chair should be around 110-120 degrees so that your chair starts to support and work for your body.

Avoid using a glare guard. These can lead to more strain on your eyes as you try to focus on a computer screen through another screen. Position your computer away from the glare of lights or the sun. A softly lit room is better than a glaring room, but no light at all is also bad.
Ensure you have a high resolution monitor and good graphics card for your PC.

The latest LCD monitors are best for resolution but some of the cheaper screens will do just fine. An old box style monitor should be upgraded. Blink more often. Most of us forget to blink while staring at a computer screen and this deprives the eyes of well needed moisture.

Your computer screens are constantly refreshing, measured at a rate per second of how many times your computer screen is re-drawn. Increasing this rate can help ease the strain on your eyes. The minimum refresh rate provided by EU standards is 72Hz. For most PCs, change the monitor settings by right clicking on the desktop and choosing, properties, settings, advanced settings.

We have all heard that you should never spend too long sitting down without breaks. Getting up and walking around the room is a good idea that we do not always adhere to. Even wiggling your feet around and stretching your legs under the table will help. Make sure your computer is not too noisy. You can buy reduced noise fans for a low price. You will be amazed at the difference after changing them.

Use our games as a method of enjoyment.
